Mercedes-Benz GLC 300e
The plug-in hybrid engine of the 300e 4Matic has a system output of 320 hp and 700 Nm. The new 9G-Tronic hybrid transmission is a step forward in terms of shifting comfort, shifting speed, and the possible tractive power of the powertrain.
The fact that the GLC 300e tops out at 230 km/h, five kilometers per hour slower than its predecessor, does not bother me. The two-tenths of a second that it takes from the predecessor with a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 5.7 seconds is hardly significant. Both of these are top values for an SUV weighing two tons. Consumption is also very good for a midsize crossover in this weight class – while testing we got by with an average of around 3 liters.
